Let me tell you why I write.
I need to write. Not for likes or shares, and not for toxic back and forth with readers. I need to write for reasons that I don’t fully understand. I used to be a club DJ, and writing is as close to what it felt like to spin records at a packed club.
I guess writing is part therapy and part learning. It’s also a lot of reprocessing and unlearning, as I don’t hold many of the views I held 10 years ago.
